The Barbary Coast Neighborhood Association is pleased to sponsor the annual Golden Gateway Neighborhood Egg Hunt inside Walton Park on Saturday, March 24th at 10:30 AM. All neighborhood children are welcome to attend, and volunteers are needed. This is a lovely opportunity to meet and socialize with our neighbors and build community spirit. Remember to bring your Easter basket!
RSVP by March 22nd to Julia Bergman (juliahbergman@yahoo.com) if you can volunteer or your family would like to participate in the Egg Hunt. In order for this event to be a success, we need your help!
Here is the volunteer schedule for the day of the Egg Hunt:
9:00 AM: 6-8 volunteers armed with gloves, paper towels and trash bags to inspect the park for trash, dog poop and other unpleasant items. Meet at the fountain at 9 a.m. The more people who can help, the quicker we’ll be done. This is an ideal way for any of our neighbors to participate, especially those who donât have small children, by helping to make our park beautiful.
10:15 AM: Volunteers start scattering the eggs around the park, keeping eggs for 2-and-under in a designated area. 2-3 volunteers will remain behind to guard the eggs until the hunt gets started.
10:30 AM: Egg Hunt starts (please be on time).
Afterwards: Volunteers help clean up park, remove trash, and collect plastic eggs.
