Whatâs Happening?
- The Sansome/Battery/Davis Connections Project is the first stage of the larger Embarcadero Enhancement Project to make transportation and pedestrian improvements along both sides of the Embarcadero. See www.SFMTA.com/SansomeBattery and fact sheet for more information.
- At two community meetings (3/6/19 and 3/7/19), the most up-to-date plans for the business and residential communities from the north and south ends of the Barbary Coast Neighborhood areas were presented. See 3/6/19 SFMTA presentation on Updates to the project.
- Based on collective feedback, a few changes have been made to the project as originally introduced but some concerns have not been addressed. See Full Report of Community Concerns and SFMTA Modifications.
Whatâs Next?
- The Sansome/Battery/Davis Streets Project will be voted on by the SFMTA Board 4/16/19 (Tuesday, 1pm at City Hall, Rm 400). If approved, some changes will start in May (signage/striping) with capital improvements starting Summer 2019.
- There is still time to submit concerns and suggestions for traffic, transportation, and pedestrian improvements in the Barbary Coast Neighborhood whether part of the Sansome/Battery/Davis Streets Project or another part of our neighborhood. Changes are all data driven so SFMTA needs to hear from those of us who live and work here.
