Public Walking Tour of Proposed Traffic Changes With SFMTA on February 21 at 5 PM

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) is looking for input on safety/traffic/pedestrian improvements as they design an alternative route for walking and bicycling parallel to the traffic-heavy Embarcadero. We encourage members to join the tour or check out SFMTA.com for more information to see the proposed changes to our neighborhood. View the fact sheet here.

Specifically, SFMTA wants specific feedback on the following:

  • Which crossings pose the most challenges for people walking
  • Where new/better curb management for passenger/goods loading is needed
  • Considerations for whether to implement a one-way conversion of Vallejo Street between Sansome and Battery Streets

WHEN: Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 5:00-6:30 PM
WHERE: Corner of Battery Street and The Embarcadero (near Fog City Diner)

Walking Tour Details: The tour will start at the corner of Battery Street and The Embarcadero (near Fog City Diner), with the expected route to include walking between Sansome and Battery streets to Green, heading over to Vallejo, and then walking on Davis ending at Sydney G. Walton Square. The distance of the tour will be less than one mile, and the terrain will be flat and paved. Please wear comfortable shoes for walking and layer appropriately.
